Lab-Grown Diamond Tennis Bracelets: Carat Weight, Length and Price

What total carat weight means on a lab-grown tennis bracelet, how to pick 7 or 8 inches, and what our lab-grown tennis bracelets actually cost.

8.14 ct total weight lab-grown diamond tennis bracelet in 14k white gold with a box clasp

A lab-grown diamond tennis bracelet is a flexible line of individually set lab-grown diamonds, and the number that shapes how it looks is the total carat weight: the combined weight of every stone. Our lab-grown tennis bracelets run from 6.69 ct total weight to 9.20 ct, in 14k white gold, priced from $2,349.99 to $3,309.99.

What does "total carat weight" mean on a tennis bracelet?

It is the weight of all the diamonds added together, not the size of any one stone. A carat is a unit of weight: under the FTC's Jewelry Guides, "A carat is a standard unit of weight for a diamond and is equivalent to 200 milligrams (1/5 gram). A point is one one-hundredth (1/100) of a carat." (16 CFR 23.18)

That is why every bracelet below is labeled "TW." An 8.14 ct TW bracelet is a line of smaller stones that weigh 8.14 carats together; it is not an 8-carat stone. Two bracelets with similar total weight can still look different depending on how many stones are used and how they are set.

Classic or emerald-style?

A classic tennis bracelet is a single row of round stones, the look most people picture. Our 7.75 ct TW bracelet uses an emerald-inspired layout instead, for a more architectural line on the wrist. If you already wear an emerald-cut ring, it is the natural match; with a round solitaire, the classic style usually reads cleaner.

7 inches or 8 inches?

Seven inches is the length of three of our four lab-grown tennis bracelets. The 9.20 ct TW bracelet is 8 inches for a looser fit or a larger wrist. The simplest way to choose is to measure a bracelet you already wear comfortably, or come in and try both lengths on.

Want something lighter for every day?

If a full tennis bracelet is more than you want, we also carry slimmer lab-grown diamond bracelets in 7-inch lengths: 0.75 ct TW in 14k yellow gold ($599.99), 1.37 ct TW in 14k yellow gold ($799.99) and 1.65 ct TW in 14k white gold ($849.99). They layer well with a watch or a tennis bracelet.

What to check before you buy any tennis bracelet

  • The name says lab-grown. Federal guidance requires the qualifier right before "diamond" (16 CFR 23.25). Ours are named that way on every page.
  • Total weight is labeled TW. A single carat number with no "TW" on a multi-stone piece is unclear.
  • The clasp closes securely. Our general tennis bracelet guide covers clasps and safety catches.
  • The bracelet moves freely. Each link should flex without stiff spots.

Going for a full set? Our 13.8 ct TW lab-grown diamond tennis necklace ($5,199.99, 17 inches, 14k white gold) is made in the same style.
